Security clearances are essential to many jobs in the Fort Meade Region, so the Fort Meade Alliance created Project SCOPE to help students in high school and college, as well as transitioning workers and military veterans to understand, navigate and master the security clearance process.

About Us

Middle School

Bringing awareness to career paths and discovery are imperative to today's young student. This program aims to introduce students to security clearances and expose them to real world experiences from today's workforce professionals. Project SCOPE Middle School brings awareness to the classroom by emphasizing good character, responsible habits, and key skills for success in the future. Visit Page

With resources for students, parents and teachers, Project SCOPE provides opportunities to learn about the types of decision-making teens will need to consider as they move towards adulthood, while also learning about the ways those decisions may impact their ability to gain sustainable employment in the future. College / Workforce

There are many misconceptions about security clearances - who needs them, what disqualifies a person from obtaining one, etc. This section aims to help young adults understand the benefits of a security-cleared career, while also providing more general information and resources related to financial management, soft skills, resume development and the job search. Military/Veteran

Servicemembers transitioning out of the military are not always aware of the myriad of career options available to them based on the skills and experience they developed during their active duty. Project SCOPE aims to provide information and tools to help individuals as they transition to a civilian career. Visit Page
